Ernest Westfield Champaign businessman and former Negro League baseball player is interviewed by Franklin Middle school 8th grade student Jay, on January 26, 2010, in the school library.
Mr. Westfied talked about growing up in Cleveland Tennessee, playing baseball for the Birmingham Black Barons and the Chicago Cubs, moving to Champaign , raising a family and developing his creative side, including poetry composition. While in Champaign Mr. Westfield became involved with civil rights and radio broadcasting.
