Edmond, a YMW participant from Edison Middle School, interviewed Nathaniel Banks at his office at the University of Illinois on April 21, 2010.  Mr. Banks is the director of Mo’ Better Music, a program for young jazz musicians.  Mr. Banks speaks of his love for music and explains how it is a “language that doesn’t use words.” 

He gives a brief history of blues and jazz and talks about his musical upbringing and training.

He finishes the interview with a short rendition of “Amazing Grace” on his trumpet.
